Somnath Tempal
According to the traditional documents of J. Gordon Melton, the Shiv Temple built in Somnath is old. And for the second time, the temple was built in the year 649 by the King of Vallabhbhai. After this, in 815 CE, Gurjara-Pratihar King Nagabhutt II constructed the third temple, it was constructed from Lal Pathr. Thus the temple was constructed three times.
But there is no historical witness of Al-Junaid's attack on Somnath. While Nagabhata II definitely came to Saurashtra to visit this shrine. It is said that Solanki King Mulraj would have constructed the first temple in 997 CE. While some historians say that Solanki Raj Mulraj had rebuilt some old temples.
